Dr. Electrical and Computer Engineering

He received his PhD degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of AUTH in 2015 and his degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the same department in 2008. In addition, he received a BA from the Department of Organization and Business Administration of University of Macedonia in 2015.

During his studies, he has received various awards (IKY Scholarship, Best Conference Award – UPEC 2012, best presentation award at the 2nd SFEMMY, Xyptera Award, Prof. Bekiari Endowment, Prof. Papamichailidis Endowment), while his postdoctoral research (2015- 2016, 2016-2017) was funded by the IKY-Siemens Program.

He has worked as a freelancer since 2009 with the aim of studying, supervising and constructing energy projects, while between 2017-2022 he worked as a Specialist Scientist at the Electricity Market Officer (later the Hellenic Energy Exchange) for the design of the new electricity markets. He has extensive experience in European research programs as a researcher at UoWM, AUTH and the University of Cyprus. From April 2022 he is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of UoWM.

He has published 1 book chapter, 14 papers in peer-reviewed international journals, as well as 22 papers in international and national peer-reviewed conferences. He is an evaluator in more than 10 scientific journals, as well as in European Union programs (Horizon 2020). His main research interests focus on the control of distributed electricity generation from renewable energy sources and storage systems, balancing and ancillary services markets, and the operation of microgrids.
