Despina I. Koukoula received the Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in 2008, her Postgraduate Diploma in Energy Production and Management from NTUA in 2010, and in 2017 completed her Ph.D. at the Electric Power Division of NTUA on the topic of decentralized management of dispersed energy resources for the provision of ancillary services. Her research interests include smart meters, distributed algorithms for demand management/ local load and dispersed generation control.
She has 15-year work experience on energy sector, on RES and especially on the Non-Interconnected Islands, with focus on Scada and EMS.
She is Director of Energy Control Systems Branch in the Islands Network Operation Department of HEDNO S.A.
