He is now a professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Western Macedonia. He is scientific manager in European projects such as CEF Crocodile 2, Interreg Europe project E-MOB, FINERPOL, SUPER and in several bilateral projects with TEN-EEO. He has been a principal investigator in bilateral projects of GSRI such as Greece-Turkey 2013-2014 – “smart electric energy management and buildings energy efficiency technologies project-SEEMBEET”. He has received a scholarship during his PhD thesis (HERAKLeITOS).

He has been and continues to be a reviewer in international journals such as the electric power systems research (EPSR) journal, the IET proceedings on generation, transmission and distribution (iet-gtd), the IEEE transactions on electromagnetic compatibility (ieee-emc), the IEEE transactions on power systems journals and an expert reviewer for the IEEE. He was the first advisor of the student chapter of ASHRAE. He has co-authored at least 20 publications in peer-reviewed international journals and over 50 publications in international conferences.
