Dr. Electrical and Computer EngineeringHe received his PhD degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the corresponding department of AUTH in 2017 and his Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the same department in 2010.
He now belongs to the Extraordinary Educational Staff of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Western Macedonia. At the same time, he is a Scientific Associate of the High Voltage Laboratory in the corresponding department of AUTH. He is scientifically responsible for the SPOTS project funded by EL.ID.EK. in the context of the “2nd Announcement of Research Projects EL.ID.EK. for the support of Postdoctoral Researchers”.
He participated and participates in numerous research projects funded mainly by the industry in the subjects of coordination of insulations and protection against overvoltages of electric power systems, lightning protection and grounding.
He is a reviewer for international scientific journals, including IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery, IEEE Transactions on Electromagnetic Compatibility, IEEE Transactions on Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation, IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, and Electric Power Systems Research. For his activity as a reviewer he was awarded by the journals IEEE Transactions on Electromagnetic Compatibility and IEEE Open Access Journal of Power and Energy (OAJPE) in the years 2022 and 2023, respectively. He is a member of CIGRE Working Group C4.74 “Line and Cable Models for Steady-State and Transient Studies”. He is the co-author of over 20 publications in peer-reviewed international scientific journals and over 45 publications in the proceedings of peer-reviewed international conferences.
